Most weekends are nice. Some more so than others, this was definitely one of them. Friday we saw the band "Devil Makes Three" at Ace of Spades. Total blast, but definitely whiskey infused. Led to a day of movies and breakfast burritos with Jessie on Saturday. Not the best way to spend the day, but it was worth a night of letting loose with friends the night before.
Saturday was even better though, it was finally Ballet Night! lululemon athletica sponsored the Sacramento Ballet's Red Hot Valentine (It's no surprise I was pushing to make that happen since day 1 with lululemon). Before the show we met for a drink and appetizers at Lucca. It was so nice to be with such incredible women that I truly respect and enjoy.
The ballet itselft was exceptional. Truly I expected nothing else- but every time I see the dancers in action it takes my breath away. The stamina, strength, flexibility, balance, grace, passion ... It all just blows me away. Also- I was geeking out about seeing EVERY dancer in our clothes. :) I am not going to lie, it made me feel so happy knowing that I helped make that happen. (And so grateful to work for a company that supports the arts).
Sunday was back at work. The evening was uneventful, but nice to with Thai food and Yahtzee at home with the Mr.
