This could very well turn into a food journal.

Dinner last night. Rather than going to a restaurant, we walked down to a sweet little market. It was one part whole foods, one part co-op. We dined on the patio of our apartment- French bread, havarti, soppresotta, spicy hummus and carrots. With a little local vino to round it out. We are happy kids.Breakfast this morning. 

That's a salted caramel old fashioned and a ham and cheese croissant that we shared. Heaven. I think we took the smallest bites possible to savor every flavor.

Seattle is our first stop on the way to Vancouver. We spent some time in the raddest airport shop, SubPop. Perfect place to listen to some tunes and leave our marks in the sketch books.

Sweater Weather

It has been a hell of a summer- filled with joy, challenges, hard work, growth, and lots of adventure. I am ready for this new season, I am ready for change, more growth and I am ready to trust that we can take on whatever the future holds. 

Playing House

A few months back a good friend (insert plug for Nicholas Wray photography) asked us to pose for some lifestyle photos for a new apartment project in Sacramento. I am definitely not the "model" type, but apparently "happy and in love" translates well in photos. Either way, we had fun helping a friend out, and we are always willing to drink champagne and kiss each other. Here are a few of them:

Coolhands hit the water!

We had the opportunity to Stand Up Paddle board yesterday and had a great time. It was Lucas' first time on a SUP board and I think he's into it. :)   The good company and delicious drinks at Crawdad's might have helped. 

 

 I am finding that relationships, just like life have their natural ebb and flow. What I learned is the easiest, fastest way to get back into our flow is by getting outside and doing something active together. We are so fortunate to live in the beautiful city of Sacramento where the opportunities to play outside are endless.

This handsome fella found us on Luke's birthday. He couldn't be sweeter and we couldn't be happier. We're going to take him to get checked out, and fingers crossed, he's got our forever home with us. 

Also he quite likes bikes.
